The number of transiting trucks in the Czech Republic keeps growing every year. As a result the accident rate is increasing and the road surface suffers a lot.
Therefore some Czech politicians would like to implement stricter rules and constructive solutions, but they don’t benefit the carriers. Ideas such as overtaking bans and extending traffic bans are on the table.
The solution
The Czech association of carriers, CESMAD, has created a handy portal providing information about road conditions and constructions. The information portal is available in 7 languages (English version). The goal is to upgrade the knowledge about Czech regulations, traffic bans and road conditions. With this initiative, the association wants to avoid the ratification of stricter (more expensive) regulations.
